History/About:

Amber Ales were created by American craft beer brewers in the early 1980’s.  They are known as Red Ales in some regions.

Taste:

Citrus qualities come from the moderate to high use of American hops.  Mild caramel and malty sweetness. Medium to full body. May have mild low levels of fruity-ester flavor.

Aroma:

Usually has a citrusy American hop character and caramel aromas.

Color:

Amber to light brown.

ABV: 4.5-6.0
